Who will lead the Discovery program?
Our well trained staff of Discovery Leaders, most of whom are former educators, will lead your trip. Your Discovery Leader will also stay with your group the length of your program.

What type of hotels does LEAD USA use?
All of our Discoveries use only premium hotel properties. We choose superior quality hotel properties that are well located (Marriott, Doubletree, and Hilton to name a few) and are central to the cities and destinations visited.

What safety and security measures does LEAD USA have?
We have a company safety plan, 24-hour toll free emergency assistance number, and we provide private nighttime security at each of our lodgings.

Does LEAD USA have Travel Insurance?

How do I register?
Your student's teacher has a registration booklet that will give you all the information about your Discovery program. Fill out the registration form and return it in the enclosed envelope to LEAD USA. You may also fax your registration form to 858-679-0580.

What airlines do LEAD USA use?
LEAD USA uses all major airline carriers such as United, American and Southwest Airlines.

Is there cancellation and accident insurance?
Yes.  See your Registration booklet for more details.

Is there a payment plan I can use?
Yes. A payment plan can be set up once you register. You select the schedule that works for you.

Can I use a credit card?
Yes.

What happens if I fall behind on my payments?
You may double up on your payments if one is missed. If no payments are made you will be notified and your student will be dropped if not brought up to date.

What is the cancellation policy?
Any cancellations must be made in writing to LEAD USA.

What is the rooming situation?
Most students choose their own roommates at the discretion of their teacher. Students are placed 4 in a room with double beds.

Is there a packing list?
Yes. Each student will receive a packing list a month before his/her trip. All students need to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and use layers as the weather changes.

How many pieces of luggage can I bring?
Each student can bring one piece of luggage that weighs no more than 50 pounds. He/she may also bring his/her LEAD USA backpack.

What are the meals offered?
All meals are included in the cost of your Discovery. This includes a hot breakfast, buffet at the hotel, lunch, and a well balanced dinner at a local restaurant.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes. If notice is given prior to your Discovery, food can be ordered that will meet your needs.
